A million thanks for producing such a miraculous olive oil. My mom was a gourmet chef and she had the most amazing olive oils, but I could never find one, despite paying big dollars, until I found yours. . Bravo!

    Health Is Yours. Go!

You work hard to bring  clean food to the table.

But second-guessing if your Extra Virgin Olive Oil is

    chemical-free and unadulterated

    just makes life more difficult.

    Paying for overpriced organic certification

to make sure your olive oil is

    free of pesticides

    and free of herbicides

    doesn’t make it any easier.

You shouldn’t be throwing out bottle after bottle of discount  olive oils because

they are rancid and plain stinky. And taste like old socks!

    Bioharvest EVOO Exceeds Qualification Standards

We bring you detailed chemical analysis in each bottle with clear nutritional info.

    • Handpicked while still green, our monovarietal Koroneiki olives—known as the “king of olives”—are cold pressed within hours, for increased organoleptic and nutritional quality of the EVOO.
    • Bioharvest Series EVOO has an acidity level of 0.2 % to 0.4%,* well below the EVOO qualification standard of 0.8% established by the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC).
    • Each bottle of our Bioharvest Series EVOO comes with an Acidity Level Analysis and Lot Number, verifying the chemical composition as well as the source of harvest.

    * Lower acidity values guarantee a high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, showing it has been obtained from healthy olives and under ideal conditions.

    Ecological Farming & Chemical-Free EVOO

We bring you an all-natural, holistic farming system that aims to be good for people and the planet.

    • We compost the pulp of the olive fruit and the leaves for a year, and then feed it back to our trees for increased nutritional density.
    • We do not use mass production techniques or chemical agents, which destroy the soil vitality and deplete the olives of their nutrients.
    • We do not use synthetic fertilizers but add organic sheep manure to our soil to enrich its nutrients.

Traditional EVOO with Protected Designation of Origin

Knowing the origin of your Olive Oil  is as close as you can get to the harvest without visiting the olive groves yourself!

    • Each bottle of our Bioharvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil carries A Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) label, which is part of the Protected Geographical Status system in the European Union (EU).

Fresh EVOO made with olives that are picked at the peak of harvest has a low acidity and full-bodied flavor that “tickles” the back of the throat.  The best way to assess the quality of Extra Virgin Olive Oil is to Drink Up! EVOO made from fruit picked at its prime tastes of “greenness” and has a slightly bitter, peppery flavour. This is indicative of the highest levels of polyphenols and antioxidants.

Oxygen, light and heat are responsible for deterioration and expiration of EVOO.  To prolong shelf life, store your olive oil in a dark bottle, away from sources of heat and light.

Good quality extra virgin olive oil contains (poly)phenolic compounds that are being actively investigated for their  biological and pharma-nutritional properties.

Substantial scientific evidence supports the widespread opinion that extra virgin olive oil should be the fat of choice when it comes to human health and sustainable agronomy.

As with any fats and diet considerations, sensible choices are advised. Consult with your physician or health care practitioner to assess your individual health needs.

Olive oil is ideal for  cakes and loaves, and pairs well with other flavourings like citrus.  It is delicious in zucchini bread or focaccia. Try combining it with half of your usual seed or vegetable oil in favourite recipes and do a taste test to compare which you like best. We are sure it will be your baking oil of choice!

The first step is to determine if you are in fact buying REAL olive oil. To determine authenticity of your EVOO, try this 2 step QA test:

Two Step Olive Oil Purity Test:

    1. Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil into a clean glass jar. Seal the jar.
    2. Put the jar in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
    3. If the oil solidifies, it’s monounsaturated and is olive oil.
    4. If the oil remains a liquid, it is polyunsaturated and is NOT olive oil.

Choose high quality olive oil by verifying the following four authenticity indicators, as found in Acropolis Organics Bioharvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil:  1) monovarietal olives 2) chemical-free agriculture 3) verifiable harvest location 4) low acidity levels.

Just as combining peppercorns with turmeric increases nutritional absorption, it has been found that combining extra virgin olive oil and tomatoes , for example, (or better, tomato paste) increases lycopene absorption . Only 25% of lycopene is absorbed without the olive oil.
